"Nathan Hassall Trio plays Bird" - The Music of Charlie Parker
Legendary saxophonist Charlie Parker, together with trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, pioneered the revolutionary Bebop movement of Jazz in 1940s New York. Tonight the Nathan Hassall Trio pays homage to the genius that was Charlie Parker (lovingly often called "Bird" or "Yardbird" by jazz musicians and fans) by playing some of his best and well known compositions as well as other classic songs often associated with him. The purpose of this website is to provide information about the St Luke's Concert Series. All the concerts are being held at St Luke's Church, Queens Park Road, Brighton and commence at 7.30pm.
