Friday 19 September

The Prince Regent Quartet was formed in 2007 by Trinity College of Music students, where they receive regular coaching from Richard Ireland (Chilingirian Quartet). They have also participated in masterclasses with highly esteemed musicians such as the Wihan Quartet, the Carducci Quartet, Michael Bochman and the Angell Trio. They recently won first prize in the Barbirolli String Quartet Competition (Trinity College of Music). They will perform Beethoven's String Quartet Op. 18 No. 4 in c minor, Mozarts's Quintet for Clarinet and String Quartet, K. 581 (with the young, prize-winning clarinettist Shelley Thurman), and the much-loved Death and the Maiden quartet by Schubert.
